Claygate Dramatic Society puts on two or three productions each year – a play in April and a pantomime in November or January are regular fixtures. There is the occasional Fish & Chip supper evening with two one-act plays, or it could be a production performed in the round. A link to order tickets for the next production can be found on our What’s On page.

The society has been a member of the National Operatic and Dramatic Society, and has won many awards for plays and acting.

All auditions are open to non-members.

The society has been in existence since before the Second World War. It resumed in 1946 and was called ‘The Claygate Social and Dramatic Society ’.

"This was well crafted and skilled writing – creating a fast moving plot covering many imaginative locations"

Steve Mackrell on 'The Diamond Necklace', April 2018

"The character who stole the show was Bobbie Watson as Audrey who showed excellent comedy timing throughout; her interjections, and particularly her sprightly exits to the bar, brought the house down!"

Judith West on 'Ten Times Table', April 2015
