Claygate Dramatic Society is a local amateur dramatic society, based in the friendly village of Claygate, in close proximity to Surbiton and Kingston.
The society has been in existence since before the Second World War. It resumed in 1946 and was called ‘The Claygate Social and Dramatic Society ’.
The society is a member of the National Operatic and Dramatic Society, and has won many awards for plays and acting.
CDS put on three main productions each year, a play in April and in October and a pantomime in January.
In the last few years CDS has entered the Elmbridge and Leatherhead Festivals with much success.
All auditions are open to non-members.
New members are always welcome; whether for acting or set design, set building, costumes, props or front of house.
